Auto Complete/Auto Text:
If you have something that you type very frequently or a long word that you frequently misspell, create an Auto Text. This will only work if you are using Word to edit your email messages.
- Type the word or phrase exactly as you want it (in Word or an open email).
- Select the text.
- Push Ctrl+c (copy)
- Open Word
- Click “Tools”
- Click “Auto Correct Options”
- Click the tab “Auto Text”
- With the cursor in the box, Push Ctrl+v (Paste)
Now, every time you start to type the word or phrase in an email or in Word, a little box will pop up displaying it. All you have to do is push enter and it will Auto Complete for you. This is especially helpful for typing “Team Double-Click®” so that you don’t always have to add the registration mark. ~~ Amanda
How to View Two Time Zones in Your Outlook Calendar
Do you often schedule meetings with people in another time zone?
Here’s how to set up your Microsoft® Outlook® calendar to show two time zones at once:
- Go to your Outlook calendar, click View and select “Day” or “Work Week.”
- Right-click the vertical bar showing the hours of the day.
- Select “Change Time Zone.”
- Select “Show an additional time zone.”
- Pick your desired time zone, give it a name in the Label box, and click OK.
Now you have two parallel time bars next to your appointments, so when you’re thinking about planning a meeting with your colleagues in the Bangkok office, you’ll know when they’ll be most likely to be awake.
